Donations & Drives

We are called to serve one another in love. Every year, the Credit Union runs the Heart for the Holidays program, a multi-month effort to bring the joy of Christmas to families facing hardship. The Credit Union collaborates with Catholic organizations and local parishes to identify deserving families. Funds are raised through the generosity of our staff and business partners.

Throughout the year, our branches host donation drives to support local families and individuals in need. Whether it’s the annual coat drive for Pope Francis Center, collecting baby items and monetary donations for Walking with Moms in Need or responding to emergency situations in the community, our members and staff are always ready to do their part to help.

Volunteerism

Service is at the heart of our mission. Our employees and members regularly volunteer their time and talents to support local parishes, Catholic schools and nonprofit organizations.

Each month, a local charity is selected, and a group of team members spends the day providing hands-on service. We also host an annual Community Service Day, where teams from across our credit union come together to serve side-by-side.

In addition, several of our staff members have been invited to serve on volunteer boards, committees and councils for Catholic schools, parishes and organizations. We’re proud to be the hands and feet of Christ in our neighborhoods.

Faith-Based Sponsorships

We are honored to support the spiritual and social life of our Catholic community through sponsorships that uplift and inspire. From parish festivals and school fundraisers to Archdiocese of Detroit galas and events, our sponsorships help sustain the vital work of Catholic organizations.

We are also actively involved at Catholic universities, including supporting branches on the campuses of University of Detroit Mercy and Madonna University. We are continually looking to support events that bring together the faithful to celebrate, learn and grow.

Financial Education & Wellness

Alliance Catholic Credit Union offers hands-on in-person and virtual financial success workshops in both English and Spanish. Certified professionals lead the workshops covering topics like budgeting, credit management and saving for the future.

For younger generations, our financial education programs  include offering age-appropriate lessons for elementary school classrooms, sponsoring an award-winning financial literacy platform available to Catholic high school teachers for free and presenting college students with numerous opportunities to learn about critical topics to help them make sound financial decisions.

Alliance Catholic Foundation

Alliance Catholic Foundation was launched in 2020 to increase opportunities to lift up the poor and vulnerable in our society and support a call to family and community. Focused on the areas of Life & Family, Works of Mercy and Evangelization, Alliance Catholic Foundation supports initiatives that reflect the heart of Catholic teaching.

One of our most impactful efforts is our scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to students from kindergarten through post-secondary education. By investing over $50,000 each year in Catholic education, we help form future leaders grounded in faith, service and excellence.
